Recommendations for licensed bars in Taghazout
You’re on holiday; the sun is shining and about to set over the Atlantic.
You’re surrounded by chilled beach vibes, friends and family.
You can feel the salt and sand on your skin, and a thought pops into your head,
“I feel like a beer, or a glass of wine”.
Yallah, “Let’s go!”
There are several options where you can enjoy an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beer in Taghazout Bay these days.
To enjoy a beer by the ocean in Taghazout, check out;
Boutique hotel, yoga studio and bar/ restaurant. Priority is for the hotel guests, so it is always worth booking if you are a non-resident. Their indoor outdoor bar area has tables overlooking a stylish oceanfront terrace with an infinity pool and cocktail bar. Their drinks menu includes beers, wine, champagne, cocktails and tapas. Check ahead for their Events evenings, usually Thursdays and Sundays, as these are by ticket entry only.
Walk off the street down steps onto a large open terrace with palm trees and lights hanging from branches. Creates a garden oasis on one side, and on the other side, there’s an infinity pool flanked by tables and comfortable chairs. Open 12.00-23.00. Live Music nights. Make a reservation in advance. Serve beer, wine, cocktails, a mezze menu and mains.
Beachside dining in the heart of the Taghazout hustle. Packed with good vibes and people! The simple drinks menu includes beer, Domaine Sahari wine by the glass/ bottle, and a few cocktails. Great food, including burgers, tagines, pasta, and daily fish specials, is served.
The location is just off the main road through Taghazout, not on the beachfront. It’s an amazing—and very popular—place for dinner and an after-dinner drink. Their wood-fire pizzas are delicious! There’s also Munga’s Favela Restaurant too, that’s more fine dining than a chilled bar/ grill option.
For a wine bar treat, check out the new Tapa bar at the Fairmont Taghazout Bay. Here you can enjoy several different wines from around the world, by the glass. A wonderful way to travel through wine! Their outdoor terrace has a partial ocean view, extremely comfortable furniture, and excellent service. A delicious Tapa tapas/ finger food menu is also available. Reservations required.
The Radisson’s beach bar opened in 2023. Bean bags and elegant tables offer seating for up to 80 people on the beach. A bar menu offers beer, wine, cocktails and tapas. Relaxing al fresco dining, perfect for sunset as view is overlooking the beach at Panorama.
Fine dining with an ocean view at the Hyatt Regency hotel. Drinks served alongside an Italian and French Mediterranean menu.
The above list is a work in progress—it's a tough job, but someone has gotta do it. It will be updated as and when we experience others. Have also heard about a club, Pulse, in the Hilton hotel. It’s open 22:00-05:00 am on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Anyone been?
